We've built a primary school in a Tamang village in Ramche, a rural area in the mountains of Nepal.
The Shree Santi Primary School teaches 74 children, divided into kindergarten, first grade and second grade classes. We're providing ongoing early childhood education training for all of our teachers.
Now we’re starting our second project: renovating Mahakali Lower Secondary School, which teaches more than 150 Tamang students in a two-story building about a 90 minute walk from Ramche. The school was built in 1995 and needs new toilets and drinking water facilities as well as repairs to a leaky roof and broken plaster.
The Santi School Project chose its name from the Sanskrit word for peace.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so all donations are tax deductible.
